We are seeking a Senior Manager - Design for the Development Team of a confidential Mega Project in Saudi Arabia. The Office is based on the corniche in Jeddah and the project is based in Mecca. The role can be summarised as follows:-

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager Design will be responsible for leading the design and concept development of real estate projects, ensuring that all designs align with the company's vision, market trends, and client requirements. The Design Senior Manager will provide the interface and manage design/construction between all Consultants and contractors across the masterplan infrastructure- superstructure in different projects in RAHAMC. Acting as the point of contact between all Consultants/contractors in all project’s stages ensuring the desired project objectives are delivered. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and project management skills to oversee the design process from conception through to completion.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design team in creating innovative and functional designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Ensure that all designs meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of design solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including clients, investors, and internal teams, to gather requirements and provide design insights that enhance project outcomes.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and market demands to inform design strategies and ensure competitive positioning of projects.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the design process to maintain high standards and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

 

Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)

Education

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
  • MBA or similar

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in design management within the real estate development sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Minimum 3 years at managerial level
